Busy Thursday includes Working Garage Fire

Around 930 am, Truck 28 was dispatched as part of the 1st Alarm assignment to the 100 block of Texaco Road for a Garage Fire. Truck 28 responded with 5 and as they were leaving the borough, had a large column of black smoke visible. Chief 133(New Kingstown) arrived on scene with fire showing from a 2 car, 1 story garage. Truck 28 arrived behind Engine 133 and Tanker 33 and assisted their crews with opening up the structure. Truck 28 was out for about an hour. No injuries were reported. Around lunchtime, Rescue 28 was dispatched to assist Lower Allen with a reported odor of propane inside. Rescue 28 staged with 8 personnel before being placed available.

The day continued on with Rescue 28 going to Hampden Twp for a reported odor of something burning inside. Rescue 28 again staged with 9 personnel before being placed available.
