Engine 128 and Truck 28 attended Cumberland Valley High School’s “Lights On For Life” event today. The event is intended to raise awareness about driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Fire trucks, police cruisers, and tow trucks lined up on the Carlisle Pike in front of CVHS with their lights on and sirens wailing. With the help of local fire, ems, and police, CVHS students had another successful year.
While waiting for the event to start, the pagers went off for an odor of smoke in a house on Washington Street in the borough. First units on scene did and investigation and found a bad compact fluorescent light bulb in a fixture in the kitchen was creating the odor. After going available, Engine 128 and Truck 28 headed back out to the “Lights On For Life” event.
