First Due Electrical Fire

Tonight as crews were about to start training, the pagers were activated for an unknown type fire inside a residence on the 100-blk of East Locust Street. Chief 28 arrived with normal conditions. Engine 128(with 6) arrived and sent a crew inside to find flames from a group of electrical cords in a second floor bedroom. Crews quickly used a dry chemical extinguisher to contain the fire. Truck 28 arrived and setup PPV as well as securing power to the bedroom. Company 27 assisted with manpower. Engines 223 and 137, Ambulance 482 staged and then were released. Crews were on scene about an hour. No injuries were reported.
