Election Night brings 4 calls, 5 for the day

Yesterday was a busy day at the 28 house. Around 1300, Engine 128 and Rescue 27 went to the 1st block of West Simpson Street for an auto accident.

Just after 6 pm, Rescue 28 was hit on the 1st alarm to Bethany Village West in Lower Allen for a Microwave fire. The Rescue responded with 6 and assisted with ventilation. Crews were out about 30 minutes.

The Rescue no sooner got backed in and the pagers went off for a Electrical Fire in Monroe. Engine 128 (with 8) responded after the dispatch. The engine arrived and staged until being placed available by Chief 25.

During the monthly company meeting, at 730, Companies 28 and 27 were dispatched to Norway and Simpson Streets for an auto accident with 1 vehicle overturned. Rescue 28(with 9) and Engine 128(with 6) responded shortly after dispatch. Chief 28 arrived on scene to confirm 1 vehicle on its roof with a telephone pole sheared off near the base. The driver was self-extricated. Crews stablized the vehicle from moving any further and assisted with patient care. Crews were out over an hour.

Crews no sooner got their gear off and this time Truck 28 was dispatched to Silver Spring Township for smoke in a house. Truck 28 responded with 6 and staged til being placed available by Command 31.
