Crews Assist Hampden on 2 Alarm Building Fire

Around 1630 hours, Rescue 28 was dispatched on the 1st alarm assignment to St. Johns rd for a building fire. Hampden Twp Fire Dept (Co 30) was dispatched for a Fire Alarm. Crews arrived on scene with fire on the 10th floor in a silo. Rescue 28 arrived with 7 and sent its crews to Floors 9 and 10 to assist checking the interior and establishing additional handlines from the sprinkler system. Engine 128 (with 3) and Truck 28 (with 4) were dispatched on the 2nd alarm to assist. Those crews held in manpower and assisted as needed. Company 28 cleared about 5 hours later with no injuries reported.

Just prior to responding on the building fire, Rescue 28 cleared a Medical Emergency on the Main Street to end the day with 2 calls.

While out on the building fire, York County Engine 65-1 (Franklintown) transfered into Station 28. A thank you to Company 65 for standing by.
